Our Mission

Our misión is to drive the competitive and sustainable development of Chilean mining, contributing to the well-being of the country.

Our Purpose

We work for better mining for the well-being of people and the future of the world

01

“Work for” is a verb that reflects what we do at the Mining Council. Collaborative work is what drives our member companies to continue advancing in the development of mining that is increasingly responsible for people, territories, environmental care and the global challenges brought about by climate change.

02

The concept of “better mining” carries our commitment to a responsible mining of mineral resources, seeking efficiency and a sustained reduction of our environmental footprint, the inclusion of renewable energies and a more conscious use of water. All of this through greater innovation and new technologies applied throughout the mining industry process.

03

Our commitment is also to “people’s well-being”; supporting the education of future generations, as well as with those who work in the mining industry, training them for the current and future technological challenges. In addition, working together with the different productive industries of the country to continue contributing to the economic growth of the country and the integral development of the territories.

04

The “future of the world” recognizes the key role that our country plays in the fight against climate change: Chile leads global production of copper and other minerals. Therefore, from the mining sector, we have the conviction and responsibility to continue working to contribute to the current and future challenges of the planet.
